Welcome to Customizing your Welcome Messages.
The Customize Your Welcome Message allows you to create your own welcome page message to be displayed to your students and alumni before they place their orders. You can use this feature to provide holiday office closing alerts, specific ordering instructions, or any other message. It’s recommended to update this message to alert requestors when something occurs that may impact your processing time and then update it after the message is no longer needed to your standard message. Please Note: Transcript Ordering does not have a history of messages or templates, so it’s best to keep a record separately if you have specific language.
To access the editor, on the Transcript Services tab, in that Registrar Transcript Ordering box, click ordering configurations.
Under the customize view ordering profile, click welcome page editor.
This is the editor. It functions just like a Word document does. You can bold, underline, highlight, change colors, add hyperlinks and bullet points.
Beneath the editor on the right is the character counter. The editor allows up to 9,000 characters. You can see how many characters are remaining for your welcome page.
You can preview what your welcome page will look like to your students and alumni. When you click the preview option, you will see your school's name or logo at the top and how it will look to your students and alumni.
Once you preview it and confirm everything looks good, that's when you select the submit button.
Once saved, your custom text will be applied to your welcome page within 15 minutes.
Above the editor to the right is when the welcome page was last up updated by a date and time stamp as well as who updated it by the user's username.
You can store your welcome page text in a Word document and copy and paste it over and it will render the same as it does in that Word document on your welcome page editor. Please note: you are not able to insert images into your message, HTML tags are not accepted and how formatting appears can vary by browser.
If you wish to direct your students directly to your Transcript Ordering welcome page from your school website to order transcripts, you can place a link on your school website. Please use the link shown and remember to add your school specific OPEID where designated.
If you have questions, please reach out to your client success manager or Regional Relationship Manager.
