This session is intended for post-secondary institutions active with DegreeVerify.

Transcript
Focusing on completing a pending transaction, we will use this request as an example. You can click anywhere on that specific request to move to the next screen. You will see we have the screen sectioned into request status and request details. Request status provides your school the next steps on how to complete the request by clicking manage request. Whereas the request details shows the information provided by the requestor that will aid you in your research along with the transaction timeline. We suggest reviewing the request details for the student first to determine how you can proceed under the manage request drop down menu. The drop down menu is dynamic so you will see different options depending on request type, if there is a potential match or even if the requestor is looking for a specific degree. In this example, we are going to complete this transaction by clicking update student record. This will bring you to the student record page. This page is again broken down into different sections. We will start with the student information which is pre-populated based off what the requestor is provided. Please review this information very carefully and ensure what is included is the information that is on your school records. You will notice asterisks listed which indicates a required field. All requestors will provide the student's name and have the option of providing the student's date of birth. Only our contracted members will be able to provide the students social security number. If a requestor provides a social security number in another field, for example, if they provided the social security number as part of the student's last name, then please do not use the social security number because the requestor may not have obtained permission from the student in order to use it. While the social security number and date of birth are not required, we recommend that you provide them because they will be used as matching logic in our system for future inquiries. If this student has a financial block, meaning they have an unfulfilled financial obligation to your school, please click the button next to financial block. When the block has been indicated, the requestor's verification will be closed as unable to respond and we will then instruct the requestor to have the student contact your school so they may take care of the hold. If the student has a FERPA block on their records please click the button next to FERPA block. The requestor will be prompted to provide the student's signed consent and the information will not be released until they do so. The next section is the degrees on record. Please provide all available degree information you have on record. As you start typing your school's degree titles will populate in a list for you to select however you can freehand the degree title as well. Please only include one degree title per record as you have the option to add another record by clicking add another degree at the bottom of the page. Although dates of attendance are optional, we do ask that you provide them.

It is one of our largest discrepancy types and requestors often require this information. If you have access to the information, please provide it.

We will highlight the Privacy block setting which only applies to GDPR students. In order to use this block information it does require an addendum be signed by our legal team.

Pre-populated comments will always be available if there is additional information that you would like to pass to the requestor.

Once you have provided the complete record, including add an additional degree if needed and all the required fields have been completed, then the submit button will appear and you can submit the record. The transaction will then be removed from your queue and you can move to your next pending transaction.
