Warning Code 293

Transcript This tutorial covers warning code 293. What is warning code 293? It is a subset of warning code 275 and occurs when the status start date for your students with a graduated status is before the term begin date of the current term that they are enrolled in. If the updated status start date or term dates provided when correcting warning code 293 meet the criteria to resolve warning code 275, warning code 275 may also be resolved. What do you need to do? Please check the records with warning code 293 to determine if the status start date for the graduated status needs to be corrected. If the status start date and term dates are accurate, no additional action is needed. If the status start date or term dates need to be corrected, please use the following steps as a reference. To correct the records with warning code 293, go to the errors and warnings list on the Error Resolution on the Web and select 293. Review the list of students. If you determine that all students listed should have a certain date in the future, you can mass correct them. Click on Update all records for error, select warning 293, enter the status start date, and click Submit. Please be aware that when doing a mass correction for warning code 293 and 275s are present, submit the correction for warning code 293 first. If a mass correction for 275 and 293 with different Status Start Date values for the same student are submitted at the same time, the mass correction will apply the status start date input for warning code 293. If you determine that several students need to have a date corrected to a specific new date, from the select column, check the box for the student records, expand the update and submit for validation section, fill in the new date, and click update and submit for validation. If you need to update individual students with different status start dates, make the updates on the individual records, and then in the select column, check the box for the student records, and click submit selected records for validation. If you need to update the term dates, expand the record for each student and update the term fields and then click submit for validation. If you have reviewed the records and determined that the date is correct, no action is needed for these records with warning code 293. Notice on the errors and warnings list, the count on warning code 275 decreased for any records you submitted for validation in warning code 293 that meet the criteria for resolving warning code 275.
