Manage Your Third-Party Authorizations (3.5 minutes)
The Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) enables you to share your dashboards and de-identified analysis-ready (AR) files with third parties. You have the ability to easily view and manage access to your dashboards and/or reports with third-parties connected to the Clearinghouse.

Let's dive into how to grant and edit third-party access in the post-secondary data partnership secure portal. Your institution controls what your contracted third-party partners access within PDP through the clearing house. Only add third parties that you have a relationship with. Only third parties with an active relationship with the clearing house are available. If you would like to add a new third party to the list, please email PDP service@studentclearinghouse.org. Before we get started, you need to have the data authorizer role to modify or add authorizations. All other users can view. If you need a role added, please contact your user administrators at your institution or system. To review and set up access, log in to the secure portal, navigate to accounts and settings, and then control access to your data tab. First, let's cover granting access to individual institutions. Click on PDP third party authorization. In the search box, search for the third party by full company name. Select it and then click add new third party. There are three types of third-party authorizations you can select dashboard reports, de-identified analysis ready AR files and financial aid dashboard. Authorizing deidentified AR files gives access to both the cohort and course deidentified AR files. Select permissions for this third party and then select add third party. It takes between 48 to 72 hours for the authorization to become effective. A table of any third parties added displays beneath the search institutions. Here I've enabled the dashboards for Sandy's Corp. And there's the date that it was changed or given. Need to adjust access? To remove or add access, click edit in the row with the third party's name. Check or uncheck the options to grant or revoke, then save your changes. Want to view access history? Click on the date. The table is defaulted to 10 per page, but that can be changed. Now, for systems, on the control access to your data tab, click view or edit systemwide permissions. Search for grant permissions and add third parties. Once you add a third party, it will display in the table. Click on the name of the third party to see a list of individual institutions permissions. You can either edit access by institution or edit all institutions for this third party's access. If you want to edit authorizations by individual schools, go back to the control access to your data page and scroll down to the table of your institutions. Find the row with the desired institution and then select view/edit third parties. It's the same process as for individual institutions participating. That's all there is to it. If you have questions, please contact PDP support or your account manager.
