Using the PDP to Understand Academic Momentum: Strategies for Timely College Completion
Our students’ ability to earn sufficient credits per academic year is the primary indicator of timely completion. The Postsecondary Data Partnership dashboards (PDP) provide institutions with the opportunity to analyze metrics that demonstrate student academic load and credit progression. In this workshop, we use the PDP dashboards to examine early momentum metrics to help institutions understand which student populations are accumulating sufficient credits to graduate on time and which populations would benefit from additional support structures. Participants will also discuss how to share these results with institutional stakeholders to build buy-in and create change.

WEBINAR
Using the PDP to Explore Student Success
Ensuring student success requires a deep understanding of how different groups of students progress through their academic journeys. Institutions must analyze student data to understand how students perform academically and uncover patterns and identify areas of underperformance. This workshop will guide participants in using the National Student Clearinghouse Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) dashboards to examine student progression and completion metrics. By disaggregating data based on characteristics such as race/ethnicity, age, Pell status, first-generation status, and gender, institutions can identify trends, address challenges, and implement strategies to support all students effectively.
Who should attend?
Current PDP users who have experience with basic PDP dashboard navigation.

Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) Data Discovery & Decision Support
The PDP Data Discovery & Decision Support Course explores using the PDP to ask critical questions and use intersectional data to explore previously unanswerable questions, identify institutional performance gaps, assess progress toward closing those gaps, and leverage the PDP to support decision-making. The course structure provides a foundation for participants to interact with colleagues and mentors and collaboratively navigate the ever-growing demands for better data to inform better decisions and advance the use of equity-minded language/approach to the work. By offering the course virtually, participants can access the content when it suits their schedule, along with additional live sessions for real-time engagement, expert insights, live chatting, and Q&A. A summary of these live sessions will be available for those unable to attend the live sessions. In addition, an on-demand “Ask the Expert” option will be available for individual questions.

Understanding the Postsecondary Data Partnership Institution-Level Dashboards
The Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) is a set of online dashboards that can transform how your institution understands and shares information about student success. These dashboards provide early momentum and outcomes metrics to help stakeholders advance student success and identify equity gaps. This workshop is focused on helping those new to the PDP, or those interested in learning more about the PDP, better navigate these dashboards and use this information to improve student outcomes.
Who should attend?

WEBINAR
Using the PDP for Student Retention: Who Am I Losing and When Are They Leaving?
Increasing student retention is one of the most common priorities in any institution’s strategic plan.
Federal compliance reporting requirements focus only on first-time, full-time freshmen in retention calculations and exclude transfer and part-time students. Furthermore, reporting only shines a light on one-year retention and graduation, rather than the experience of the full population along the entire student life cycle. Finally, focusing on overall retention trends obscures the experience of underserved student subgroups.
The National Student Clearinghouse’s Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) dashboards can help data professionals better understand which students are leaving and when.
In this interactive session, facilitators will demonstrate how institutions have used the PDP dashboards to answer these questions. Participants in this session will have an opportunity to conduct their own inquiries using their institutional dashboards and will share their findings in a community of practice. Answering these types of questions will help institutions and data professionals to inform strategic planning and achieve institutional priorities.

For current PDP users who have experience with basic PDP dashboard navigation.
