Clearinghouse Data Helps Education and Workforce Organizations Work Together

by NSC Blog | Sep 14, 2020 | Research Services, Verification Services

Education is going through a massive evolution, and the Clearinghouse is expanding its services to provide better data that empowers education and workforce organizations to make good decisions.

Throughout the Clearinghouse’s existence, we have served the workforce community by providing degree and credential verifications to assess whether a job candidate who claims to have a degree actually has the credential. The Clearinghouse not only helps to reduce resume fraud but also improves the workforce more broadly, as more companies hire the best job candidates for their open positions.

As our mission states, the National Student Clearinghouse serves the education and workforce communities and all learners with access to trusted data, related services, and insights.

Many institutions are now structuring their curriculum to incorporate competency-based education and credentials. They’re beginning to understand how what they’re delivering – both in a curricular and a co-curricular environment – is working to help guide their learners to work successfully with the companies of their choice.

While this is in its early stages, the Clearinghouse is an integral part of this evolution. We are helping to close the skills gap by bringing the workforce community and the education community closer together.

Our goal at the Clearinghouse is to show the most holistic view of how learning is happening across the country and representing this evolution for the education and workforce communities, and learners. Stay tuned about our future services!

Education is going through a massive evolution, and the Clearinghouse is proud to provide data that empowers education and workforce organizations to make good decisions.
