The Trends Behind Rebounding Enrollment and Transfer Behaviors:
Insights from the Latest National Student Clearinghouse Data

As of the fall of 2024, both total student enrollment and transfer student enrollment have, for the first time, rebounded to reach numbers higher than before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on two recently published reports, researchers from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center will present data outlining the current state and trends in enrollment and mobility. The presentation will give special focus to differences among institution types and student subgroups.
