Can you explain why high schools and districts struggle to keep up with the demand for verifications?
Phil Smith: Most high schools and school districts don’t have any infrastructure for responding to graduate requests for credential or diploma verification. Often verification requests fall on guidance counselors or other administrators who already have numerous responsibilities. It can be challenging and very time-consuming for these administrators to research and process multiple diploma verifications.
How does DiplomaVerify help schools and districts address their needs and verify diplomas quickly?
Kathryn Pearlman: DiplomaVerify takes the work of dealing with the screener and performing the verification off the school’s plate. The request comes to the Clearinghouse, the response is sent from the Clearinghouse, and the school never needs to be directly involved. This helps save administrators countless hours.

For schools that are already StudentTracker for High School customers, how long does it take for them to be able to verify diplomas?
Kathryn Pearlman: Typically, the Clearinghouse’s implementation team takes new users live on DiplomaVerify within 10 business days, although it is often faster in practice. All the school, district, or state would need to do is sign a short addendum to their StudentTracker contract. No additional data or material is required, which is why the turnaround is rapid. There is no cost to the schools and no charge to the graduates for diploma verifications.
