Making the Right Choice for Your FVT/GE Reporting: Standard or Transitional Cohort?
One of the most important decisions an institution makes regarding the new Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) reporting requirements is determining which student cohort to report: standard or transitional. The choice you make will apply to your entire institution at the six-digit campus level. And once your institution chooses either the standard or transitional option for your initial report, you cannot change it for the next six years. So, it’s important to choose wisely now.
The Clearinghouse has created an infographic, “Making the Right Choice: Standard or Transitional Cohort,” to help you determine which option is right for your school. It offers an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of each cohort type and a list of questions you should ask before you decide.
